Hua Xiang (located in Ningbo, Zhejiang) (meaning China Flying) is one of the least known typewriter companies.

Zhou Cimei [6]
Zhou Cimei started with producing plastic caps for ink bottles in 1972 (2). His factory was closed during the Cultural Revolution, but he was able to re-open it in 1979 (or in November 1980 (3)). The company expanded to radio parts, later copier parts and then produced typewriters. In 1991 the company won the contract to supply plastic air conditioning parts for Volkswagen's Santana. It has expanded since then to different plastic parts "ranging from electronic harness systems to engine accessories and interior trim." (2)
Today the company exports electric harness systems and instrument panel shells to Volkswagen, GM, Isuzu and Honda. (2)
2005 company's sales were US-$ 322 million. "Huaxiang plans to grow into other markets, including car manufacturing. In 2004, it bought 60 percent of the shares in Hebei province’s Zhongxing Automobile Corp., Ltd., which will produce its own vehicle called the Huaxiang Fuqi, a line of SUVs and pick-up trucks." (2)

The company produces typewriters at least since 1990. The Hua Xiang P180 was the official typewriter of the 11. Asiatic Games in Beijing in 1990. The other known model has a Repeat Spacer and Tabulator. Its model name is currently unknown and its not known if this model is earlier or later than the P180.
